Maintaining a good attitude, even when faced with difficulty
To practice Positivity, I will:
- practice gratitude
- do good things for others
- make time to play and relax
- think hopeful thoughts
- understand that obstacles are there to challenge me
Positivity Ripples
Don Larrick, one of our long-time board members, has a license plate that reads, “Happy Man”. If you have ever been in his presence, you know this is true. His smile and personality positively light up a room, even on Zoom. You can’t help but feel more positive, too!
Psychologists have studied the emotional contagion of how the positivity and kindness of one individual can influence others to do the same. They call it the ripple effect. What do you think would happen if everyone in a family or organization focused on positivity? Transformative!
