Orderliness In the Community

Decluttering for Clarity
In times of crisis, chaos, or transition, orderliness can be a lifesaver. Think of a fire station. From each individual’s clothing and equipment to the vehicles, all details are highly organized to save time and guarantee that nothing is left behind. This order doesn’t just happen — it takes planning and constant attention.
Some individuals have developed the mentality that allows their lives to be in perfect order. Others really struggle with this issue. Improving this quality can be very simple and can lead to greater clarity of mind and efficiency in the workplace and home. Here are a few tips:
- Take time daily to get organized, possibly first thing in the morning and before you leave work.
- Several times a year, clear away clutter. Pitch, recycle, donate, or sell the items you no longer need.
- Every item has a home. Create a consistent place for everything from the keys to the garlic press.
- Put things back in their place after using them.
- Use things only for their intended purposes.
This month, focus on orderliness for clarity and efficiency.
