Drop a Rock Day

by | Jun 25, 2022 | Family Activity | 0 comments

On Drop a Rock Day (always July 3), you are encouraged to decorate a rock with a positive message and leave it where someone will find it. The Kindness Rock Project participates in this event and asks you to add a little red heart to your rock if you want to celebrate with them. Word Rocks Project celebrates this day also and suggests that you write “You Matter” on the rocks you plan to make.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July, and you could make red, white and blue rocks and combine the holidays.

Feel free to decorate and drop rocks any day.

Processing:

Do you like decorating rocks?
How does it feel to decorate a rock for someone when you don’t know who will find it?
Could you hide a rock where someone you know will find it?
How would you feel if you found a rock that someone else decorated?
