The 2026 Heroes of Character “Together We Thrive” Celebration will be held on April 16 2026, at the Delta Marriott Hotel in Sharonville, Ohio. Hosted by the Character Council of Greater Cincinnati, this dinner celebration will recognize individuals of all ages within the Tri-State area nominated by their peers as upstanding citizens and people of character who make a difference in the world. These “Heroes” all have their unique story, whether bouncing back from a setback to accomplish the amazing, doing the right thing no matter the cost or who is watching, or fighting injustice for those unable to fight for themselves. They set examples of care and compassion so that together we can thrive in our communities.
The Character Council is accepting nominations from the Tri-State area. Click below for the Adult Hero Nomination and Student Hero Nomination forms.
Tips for a GREAT Heroes of Character Nomination:
- Have the nominee’s (and parents’ if a student) contact information (phone, email, mailing address) handy before you begin!
- Obtain permission from the nominee or the nominee’s parents before nominating them.
- Ensure your statement of character connects with the Character Qualities. Download a list of qualities here.
- Clearly illustrate the character quality(-ies) demonstrated regularly by the individual you are nominating, as this is also used in the program.
- Heroes should be nominated by someone other than a family member.
- The selection committee does not know your nominee, so please use the nomination form to introduce them to your candidate.
