Kinder Character Challenge: Be Encouraging
This week’s challenge is to be Encouraging to those around you. Be the positive cheerleader in the room. Remember to be Encouraging to yourself, too! This challenge was chosen to coincide with celebrating the Toad Hollow Day of Encouragement on January 26. The holiday was created by writer Ralph C. Morrison, even though he believed that every day was a good day to spread kindness.
The article, “The Art of Giving Encouragement” states, “At first glance, these micro-moments may seem too insignificant to hold much importance, but we shouldn’t underestimate the power of encouragement.” Read the article for suggestions on how to be encouraging and avoid empty praise.
