Paul Teaches Us About Doing the Right Thing
In his letter to the Thessalonians Paul writes ‘Never tire of doing what is right’ (2 Thessalonians 3:13). When he was among them, he worked and earned his keep so as to be a model for them of how to do the right thing. He shared with them how to live a holy life in the messages of the gospels so they could use it as a model for how to live. He even warned them to be careful around those who are not doing the right thing. He did not want them to be made outcasts but to try to encourage them to do the right thing. He talks about needing the perseverance to continue to do what’s right. He also expresses confidence that they will continue to do so. God’s message is the same for us: persevere to follow gospel teachings and bring others along with you.
