Summersgiving
June 24, 2023 (Saturday after Solstice)
Summersgiving is a fledgling holiday created by a man who wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving in the summer with his friends and favorite Thanksgiving foods. Since many of us had scaled back Thanksgiving celebrations due to the Pandemic, Summersgiving is a perfect way to celebrate safely with family. The date of Summersgiving is the Saturday after the first day of Summer. Could you see your family combining the two traditions? The holiday is described as a meal with friends, but your Summersgiving can take any form you choose. You can aim to repeat Thanksgiving meal favorites, adapt them for summer (turkey burgers, anyone?) or go completely different and indulge in summertime favs. Make your Summersgiving however (and whenever) you choose. The only requirement is to include a gratitude practice of your choosing. For more information visit Summersgiving.
