Empathy Prayer

Dear Jesus,

We praise you for your goodness and mercy and thank you for the example of Empathy in your life. You were empathetic to everyone you met, especially the poor and the sick, who came to you for help. Please help us to see things from the point of view of others as you did. Remind us to imagine how we would feel in the situation of others and assume the best reasons for others’ actions. Guide us in looking for common traits with others and appreciating the differences of others. Please help us to act in all things in harmony with the will of the Father.
