Heroes of Character Event 2024

Building on the success of the 2023 “Heroes of Character” Celebration in which over 230 guests honored the best among us, the Character Council of Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Southeastern Indiana is excited to announce the 2024 Heroes of Character “Be the Change” Celebration.  This year’s keynote speaker will be Tom Burton, recently retired Superintendent of Princeton Schools.  We hope you will join us on April 11, 2024, at the Delta Marriott in Sharonville.     

The theme “Be the Change” refers to the famous quote often attributed to Mahatma Gandhi, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” A person who most exemplifies this spirit, Dolores J. Lindsay, will be honored as a “Pillar of Character” for her lifetime of dedication to the medically underserved.  Dolores is the founder and retired CEO of The HealthCare Connection, which provides healthcare to the underinsured and uninsured in northern Hamilton County. 

The Celebration will honor adult and student “Heroes of Character” from the Tri-state area who will be selected through a nomination process.  Each has their own unique story, whether bouncing back from a setback to accomplish the amazing, doing the right thing no matter the cost, or fighting injustice for those unable to fight for themselves.  These extraordinary citizens truly demonstrate the change we wish to see in the world.
